Description

BAKERSFIELD - Kern County Supervisors have approved an ordinance that will give sheriff’s deputies the power to view the sales records of businesses that dispense medical marijuana.

The new ordinance will also allow deputies, who have a warrant, to find out the names of the patients using the drug.

Originally, the sheriff department wanted access to all patient and financial records, as well as information on firearms being kept in the pot dispensaries.
