Hey you're not being fair!: on Friday May 16 @11:50AM
You should have said "Chong cops a plea" -- exactly like you did for Scott Imler. What has Tommy Chong ever sacrificed for this movement?

I didn't care for Chongs ignorance when Marc interviewed him a few months ago, and I care even less for his spinless deal making. The Tommy Chongs, the Warwicks , the Houstons of the world are part of our problem when they make deals with the police.

Look at this QUOTE from article: "I think both countries are moving in the same direction," Cauchon told reporters. "We want to maintain the illegal use of drugs in our countries. We want to ensure that we can send a positive message to Canadians."

What IS "maintaining" the "illegal use" of drugs? Sounds like Drug War fun to me.

Steve and Michele, the news wasn't what we'd like, but what can you expect? Remember who you're dealing with and their motivations. As with healing, be patient. Time heals all wounds. Good show again.

speaking of political footballs, how can this Walters guy believe his own bs? The Repubs in Washington DC have a few months to turn around the Bush Jr. Recession. Purposely disrupting free trade across our greatest economic border would not help do that.

How disturbing that he would plead guilty.

Has Tommy Chong become a sell out? He is one of the few people in the US with the economic power to fight this shit and yet he pleads guilty?

Tommy Chong was busted for one reason: he made no bones about what his pipes are for - MARIJUANA. What has he done for the movement? He stood up for it in federal court. You should thank him.

It is interesting that Judge Breyer referenced the Cival War. I guess some people believe that if the U.S. federal gov't can trump their right to own slaves, then surely nothing is beyond its power. I guess the idea of states rights is just a "pipe dream"
